Notes

 1. The Madingley Road Park & Ride bus goes past the Cavendish Laboratory and will stop on request; in any case it is only a short walk from the terminus.

2. There is no southbound access off the M11 at Junction 13. You have to travel on to Jn 12 and then head north. From Jn 13 head into Cambridge, past the Park & Ride and take the second right (a section with a central reservation). This is clearly signed 'Cavendish Laboratory'.

3. There is plenty of car parking on site.

4. This map shows a plan of the Cavendish Laboratory and associated car parks, with routes for exhibitors and visitors.

Food

1. There are convenient pubs in Coton [The Plough - booking reccomended, phone 01954 210489], on the Barton Road by Newnham [The Red Bull or The Hat & Feathers] - see local map from multimap.

2. There is also a pub in Dry Drayton [The Black Horse], Barton and several in Grantchester.

3. There are numerous city centre pubs and restaurants

Other Cambridge attractions

1. Many Cambridge Colleges have interesting sundials.

2. The Whipple Museum is unfortunately closed on Saturdays.

3. The University Library is open on Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00, however access is restricted for members of the public.

4. Several other Cambridge museums are open on Saturday morning.
