Description
Messier 33 is climbing high in our night skies during September. This member of our local group of galaxies is filled with bright nebulous regions, making a stark contrast to the hot, new stars in the spiral arms. This image was taken in Spain on 15th September, 2012 using a C14 SCT telescope and SBIG ST10-XME CCD camera. It is an LRGB of 60:40:40:40 minutes and, due to the size of this face-on spiral galaxy does not show all of the object. But there's perhaps enough to please the eyes here.
