Description
The sun continues be moderately active and is creating occasional aurorae for us to enjoy. This image was taken by BAA member James Fraser at Alness, North Scotland on October 8-9 2012 using a Canon EOS 550D and Samyang 8mm F/3.5 fish-eye lens. The exposure time was 20 seconds at ISO 800.
