-Comet: 10P / Tempel 2 -Date/Time Local: 6/10/26 1:40 am MST -Date/Time UT: 6/10/26 8:40 UT -FOV: 1.5d x 1.2d -Orientation: N up -Seeing: 2 -Transparency: 5 -Orig. Scale: 1.2 arcsec/Pixel -Instrument: 10" f/3.8 Newt -Exposure: LRGB = 1h total -Camera: Atik 16200 -Location: Payson,AZ Seen here in this moderately deep exposure this morning as an extended cyan colored fan extending from a very bright nuclear condensation. The negative image which is considerably stretched also shows a dust trail on both sides of the comet which has a bit of wavy structure. It is clearly moving with the comet across the sky and thus is a real feature. Separating this trail from the countless stars in this field are challenging. |
