Finally, 9th mag Comet 10P/ Tempel is at its Lowest in my Skies, Sept 14th 2026

Project Notes:
 

    Yes! Just past the lowest altitude in my skies for this approach. Less than 10 degrees off my due south, mountain ridge . 
    The blue hues are nearly absent in stars as well as some green. 
    Orbital trail still prominent in stack, not however in individual subs. 
    ***Interesting large and faint outer shell surrounding the coma and extending upwards. Seen on OSC and Lum (included) stacks. Must keep my eye on future images to see if this feature is real.*** 
    Faint twin dust tails, at 11 and 2 o'clock (inside coma). 
    Brightness measured at mag 9.2 
    Color calibration was performed with PixInsight's SpectrometricColorCalibration process using a white balance of the spectral class of our sun as reference.
