This image of the expanding coma of 12P starts to show some detail in the otherwise featureless bright inner coma. The diameter of the coma is now around 60 arcsec implying an expansion rate of around 350m/s. The total magnitude of the inner coma is 9.3. The total magnitude of the comet including the outer coma is 8.7.
