Not Necessarily Fading, Comet 13P/ Olbers Under Difficult Conditions, Aug 05, 2024UT. Occasional high clouds and some unusual brightening (Skyglow, noctilucent clouds, or maybe distant aurora) played havoc on my subframes. Most of the comet subframes looked horrible. Initially I kept only 16 frames but felt that SubframeSelector's choice of keeping 34 frames for integration made a brighter comet image, so I went with SS's 34. Actually I feel the cometaligned & integrated image shows a better representation of the comet, despite the artifacts.
