Plasma Jet Turns Upwards & Fractures, Comet 13P/ Olbers From Aug 09 2024. 
 
Notes:  Over the past three evenings, images have shown the main plasma jet move from a lower nuclear position to this night's highest position.  The camera's  rotation has been kept constant with an attempt to keep the FOV at 0 degrees between imaging rigs so a comparison can be made.  The plasma tail dislocation and turn is a familiar sight with this comet during this return. 
 
 
 
Goods and bads here, imagewise.  This is one of the longest total integration times for this comet at 40 x 60 sec.  Good, in that the longer image hints at some of the fainter plasma tail residue, especially towards the left of the field.  Bad in that the image has a softer, less defined appearance as the comet's motion as carried the details a bit during the length of capture.  My final night of imaging at 60 seconds subframes  as the moon enters the scene.
