Comet 157P/Tritton has split. Images from Sep. 18 (Station G00) show a fragment at a distance of 18", 0m7 weaker than the main component. This could not be confirmed on images from September 19 (Station 194). On the new images from September 23 (G00) the fragment can be seen clearly again .
