I started off with a 21mm Ethos giving x129, sent the scope to it and I saw it immediately in the FOV, a tiny core with a small halo around it. I sketched it's position against field stars with a 13mm Ethos giving x208, detail with 8mm Ethos giving x340. With 8mm, it had a bright stellar core with a small roughly circular halo direct vision. With AV I was detecting an asymmetry to the halo which I've tried to sketch. I would say the extended halo was in the vicinity of PA 110 to 140 degrees. As expected with a dust coma, the comet filter extinguished it considerably. |
