Object CD05581 was published o the NEOCP since May 25.32 2012 I made some follow-up measurements of this object, while it was still on the NEOCP. It was a cropped starfield and very hard to select images were the cometary appearance has a good visibility. Stacking of five R-filtered exposures, 120-sec each, obtained from my backyard BRIXIIS observatory on 2012, May 27.02, through a 0.4-m f/3.8 astrograph + CCD, shows that this object is a comet: coma 14" in diameter and a tail nearly 13" long in PA 233 deg. |
