BAACG 20140202 Peach Here is C/2013 A1 (Siding Spring) captured on Feb 2nd alongside a compact group of remote galaxies in Fornax. The comet is still around 14th magnitude but a short dust tail is well seen. For comparison the comet was around 30 light minutes away at the time of the image, while the distance to the group of galaxies in the image is around 500 million light years. 20130202 Damian Peach |
