Here's an image of C/2014 E2 Jacques from this morning. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the level of details I managed to get in the tail as I really threw the book at this one! Still, the comet is still a tad low in the sky, but it did get above 20 degrees at the end of the session. I auto-guided on the comet's nucleus and stacked 10 x 5min exposures binned 2x2. Scope was my Pentax 75mm APO at F/6.7, CCD was ATIK 383L with a luminance filter. |
