Milky skies last night illuminated by that half-moon. It was a very large extended halo in the Mewlon but indistinct as to its boundaries, no tail seen – skies too milky. Sketch made using the 4” Vixen Fluorite with a 70 deg AFOV Pentax 20mm e/p giving x45 and a 1.5 deg FOV to get the comet and M79 in same FOV. Very nice view it was too. Comet was about 4x larger than M79 and about twice it’s surface brightness
