Three representations of the same data, stacking on the stars, tracking the comet and then a negative stretch to bring out the faint asteroid (99248) noted by Nick James in his observation on the same night. Each pane is 16 x 16 arc minutes with north up. At the time of the images the comet's head was near RA 04h 59m, +45d 54m Dec. In the first pane some star magnitudes are shown with decimal points removed, i.e. 96 = mag 9.6 etc. Observer Mike Harlow Time of observation 29/11/2019 - 21:48 Object Comet C/2017 T2 (PanSTARRS) Observing location Ipswich, UK Equipment 12 inch F/3.6 Astrograph Starlight Xpress H16 CCD Astrodon luminance filter Exposure 47 x 30 seconds |
