Comet photography using a DSLR and tripod. Comet C/2019 U6 (LEMMON), 16th June 2020 from Pearly Beach, Western Cape, SA. 125 x 2 second exposures were used with the camera on a tripod. Image is annotated. Star hopping to the 4th magnitude stars, 9 & 12 Hydrae the comet was easily acquired in binoculars (12 x 50),a degree and a half west of 12 Hya. Magnitude estimate of +6.5 with a DC value of 2.5. |
