Comet C/2019 Y4 is becoming really active! Very condensed and starts to have a tail and is brighter than expected! The image was taken at the Frasso Sabino observatory the 2020/02/16 about alle 00h12m UT(369mm cassegrain with focal reducer at F/6.66). They are 24x90s mediated in groups of 3 and then the resulting 8 images were added together. North up and east to the left, scale 1".34/pixel field of 22'.8x28'.5. The magnitude was 15.0 for a diameter of 27" (20 pixels) with a tail of 1'.3 in PA219°. Hopefully the comet will increase its activity quickly. I remind you that in a few months the comet passes only 0.25 UA from the Sun! |
