Attached is an observation I made of NOWISE on 12th July 2020. Again it was easy to see with the naked eye, even though it was towards the city centre where light pollution is naturally at its greatest. I used my pair of 10x50 binoculars to make the drawing: there seemed to be two brighter parts to the tail with a darker region in the centre- still no sign of any details in the nucleus (at least not in binoculars). The golden colour continues to be fairly prominent. I'm hoping to get another telescopic view at the weekend when conditions improve |
