C/2021 A1 Leonard and Venus. 2021 December 18 at 11:20UT. Canon 6D + Sigma 200mm@f/5.6. 6x15sec. ISO800 FOV 5 deg. North lower right. Visual observation using 8x40mm binoculars at an altitude of 8.5 degrees. m1=4.2 when correcting for atmospheric extinction using the summer table. Comet compared to Omega Sgr ( mag4.8 ), 59 Sgr (4.7) 60 Sgr (4.9) Imagine what the view from Venus would be, with the comet only 4.9 million kms from it. |
