This may be an inverted 3D image of Comet C/2021 O3 (PANSTARRS) from the evening of 2022 April 30. I have not used a 3D image before to show a comet nor attempted to have Astrometrica generate a magnitude from such an image, so this data and what is observed could be correct or a well placed piece of noise. Per Astrometrica the object is magnitude V=8.9 and about where the comet should be located, the SNR is not very good. Due to the bright twilight I couldn't see much in the normal image composed of an average of 10x6 second plus 6x10 second images taken with no filter but the 3D image shows the stars and maybe the comet in the FOV. The image has a FOV of 3.8 x 2.5 degrees taken with a 25mm f/4 lens and an ST-402ME camera. |
