2023a3 20240911 tlovejoy

C/2023 A3 recovered in the morning sky Sep 11.794, 2024 at approximately m1=5.5. This view was a stack of 30 x 1.3sec exposures with a 135mmf1.8 lens cropped to 2 x 1.35 degrees. The star in the left of the frame is HIP 51784 which is measured a magnitude fainter than the comet in the green channel. Note also the comet was at just 14.0 degrees solar elongation! Location was Wellington Point, QLD, Australia.
