Hi. I observed C/2023 A3 last night (2024 Oct 16.3 UT - Wed) at about 8pm local time from New Zealand. It was fainter than what I was hoping (first time I've seen it in the evening sky - bad weather). Non-naked eye in the dusk, but visible with binoculars. I'd say a visual mag of 3 based on Alpha, Epsilon and Lambda Serpens (but hard to determine due to dusk/Moon and low elevation). Tail slightly visible in binocs too. Images attached - 35cm SCT cropped). 15 x10 second images stacked. |
