Comet C/2023 P1 Showing Considerable Activity 2023-08-23. Stacked 44 x 20 seconds this morning under near ideal conditions. Somehow , with the comet dropping in altitude, I've increased the exposure time to 12 minutes. The low altitude and morning twilight are both playing havoc on the star shapes and color. Images are showing an active tail with forks and twisted ribbons. The advancement in activity has been pronounced over only a few days. Stay tuned as it looks like I have friendly weather for the next four mornings.
