C/2024 G3 ATLAS has now also arrived in Namibia. This evening
Gerald Rhemann was able to take many short exposures with the astrograph on the Tivoli farm to capture a nice tail comet. Although the exposure times were well below one second due to the bright twilight, the comet shows beautiful tail structures. The individual images, in which absolutely no stars can be seen, show how bright the tail is. We hope for good weather and even better results in the next days.
