C/2024 G3 ATLAS on 2025 January 21 at 11:00UT. (10pm AEDT) Location Swan Hill, Victoria, Australia. 35S 143E
The comets nucleus has disintegrated, as reported elsewhere but the view in darker skies is amazing.
It appears as a headless comet with a naked eye tail arching 15 degrees long in PA82.
Difficult to estimate brightness but I would say comet is a total of third magnitude.
Despite the breakup of the nucleus, the tail will remain visible for the next few weeks. The next few days will be the best viewing opportunity
