Cloud parted just long enough to get a decent view of Comet "G3" from just off the highway at Moore, QLD. This is image was taken with a 135mm focal length lens, 22 seconds of exposure. This is more detail than what you see by eye, but it was still awesome nonetheless. However, I am positive anyone with decent dark sky and a clear western horizon would have spotted it last night without any optical aid. It looked like a curved searchlight beam pointing up at an angle up from the horizon.
