Project Notes:
C46K1R1 is officially named P/2026 R2 Leonard.
Little has changed over the past three nights.
Exposures kept to 20 secs in length to prevent comet trailing due to comet's high apparent motion.
My brightness measurements indicate mag 14.5. Interestingly last night's measure was mag 13.2. So something's off here.
Comet appears bluer in color.
Images continue to show dust tail to the 9 o'clock position.
Color calibration was performed with PixInsight's SpectrometricColorCalibration process using a white balance of the spectral class of our sun as reference.
