During the summer of 2023, I was searching for comet 213P. Several issues hampered my search and follow-up observations, poor weather, low on the southern horizon (14 degrees above the horizon), a small clear view of the search area (35 minutes of search window) and a very dense star field. During my search I came up with a possible image of the comet, but without follow-up, I decide not the submit my observations. Last night, I was working on old data and ran across my data of comet 213P. With the comet finally recovered by F51, Pan-STARRS 1 and other observatories. So, I decide to review my old images and found that I successfully identified the comet in my data. |
