When first imaged on June 3 the comet had a coma 8 arc minutes wide, very bright in the middle and faint in the outer half as can be observed in the Astrometrica image used to calculate a magnitude of 8.9 with a tail 2.4 arc minutes long at PA 250 degrees, the 92% illuminated Moon was 75 degrees to the WSW. On June 5 the 78% illuminated Moon had moved to within 53 degrees of the comet which made it a little harder to observe what appears to be a 7 arc minute wide coma, the tail had increased to 4.2 arc minutes at PA 251 degrees and the magnitude was calculated at 8.7. The FOV of the color images is 0.5 x 0.7 degrees.
