    Perihelion for 220P/ McNaught was June 14 2026

    Noted Outburst from June 1 indicated the comet reached 8th magnitude.

    Measured brightness now - magnitude 12.0

    Twin scopes with 84minutes of integration time under reasonable Bortle 1-2 skies.

    Comet aligned and starless integrated image INSET shows teardrop shaped coma.

    Central spine of dust tail still prominent.
