This enigmatic comet has passed through the LASCO C2 field, first appearing as a very faint dot at 10:36, 03 Sept 2015 UT and brightening until it left the field, last appearing at 16:24, 03 Sept 2015 UT.  It is currently visible in LASCO C3, appearing to continue brightening up till the latest image I got, 06:30, 04 Sept 2015 UT, still just a dot.  Images are attached showing its passages through the fields - stacks prepared using Startrails software.
