Doors will open at 17:00 with refreshments in the lobby. The meeting will start at 17:30 in the lecture theatre and will be finished by 20:00.

The RAS library will not be open before the meeting as 29th May is the 100th anniversary of the 1919 solar eclipse. The RAS will be marking this by hosting a series of group visits in the Library where there will be a display on the eclipse and actors playing the roles of Eddington and Einstein. BAA members are welcome to sign up for a free ticket to one of the group visits at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/centenary-of-the-1919-solar-eclipse-tickets-60573842995. The group visits will be at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm, and the event is also happening on 31 May.
