Messier 3 begins the open season on Globular clusters but we in the UK are frustrated by missing the two best - 47 Tucanae and this fantastic beast. I have seen it with binoculars when I have been near or beyond the equator, but it is in fact just south of Corvus, well place at this time of year. In Athens it scrapes the horizon. I saw it very nicely from Indonesia last March, and also from Cancun (Mexico) but I have yet to enjoy it with a telescope. For now, this will have to suffice.
