As many will know, my main interest is CCD photometry of cataclysmic variable stars. However, sometimes it's the simple yet unexpected things in astronomy that are the most gratifying. I have been helping a 10-year old girl and her family use her telescope recently. This evening she popped around with a "thank you". Her portrayal of the solar system is beautiful - and the planets are 3D. She's even included details on some of the planets
