Clear last night so thought I'd have a go at a favourite.

Great. Lots of colour there. I do like the Ring Nebula - though I can easily say that about all the planetary nebula as they are just so compact and so photogenic; the physics behind them so interesting too. On my desktop PC screen the image is quite dark and I think your data is sufficiently robust to stretch it all a bit more and brighten up the whole thing, to make the nebula stand out a bit better; I've done a very rough and ready stretch below to show the comparison. One reason for my perception of it looking dark is that you processed it all on a very bright screen on say a laptop, so it looks good for you, but on my aged desktop monitors it is less bright. Either way, it is a great image and I think sticking in a 2x Barlow or a Powermate would work a treat. Nice work.

Thanks for the advice, yes it was processed on a laptop with a bright screen - I'll have a go at calibrating the screen. :)

My immediate thoughts were 'I should do this again with my Barlow!'

Simon.
