Asteroid (3122) Florence (NEA) culminating on 2017 Aug 29 0Hr.

I set up for some Milky-Way imaging In quite clear conditions (and Moon set) using 50mm lens and LPR filter. [SQM-L was 20.3]. At 1am BST I looked at the charts (SMP11) and found (3122) very low in the South (just past culmination). I took four 1 min exposures at 1 min intervals before packing up. In the morning I found three of the images contained the asteroid and used images 2 and 4 in the stack which shows movement. I also blinked them in AstroArt5 to confirm its ID. The object is about mag 9 and the image needs a fair amount of "zoom" to see the asteroid (see inset image). The NEO will move rapidly North.
