The Helix Nebula NGC 7293
Observing location
Kelling Heath Astrocamp
TMB triplet refractor
115mm at f7
Canon 650D
20 x 60seconds at ISO 3200

Low in the autumn murk, the large and relatively nearby Helix nebula is a challenge for visual observers but from a dark sky and with a clear southern horizon, it can be imaged quite well. Just 3 years ago the sky obliged.
