A view of the classic winter constellations from Canis Major to Orion and Taurus sinking lower in the South-Western sky. The amount of light pollution is significant even from a sea-front site over looking the Solent towards Fawley and the Isle of Wight.

Thanks. The camera is only a compact but is very sensitive. 15s here leaves the sky too bright whereas it is fine in a dark sky in France. Andrew
