NGC891 is a beautiful edge on galaxy.  High resolution images https://www.spacetelescope.org/images/potw1220a/ show filaments extending from the central dust lane that are thought to be caused by cosmic events such as super novae and stellar formation that eject material from the central dust lane.

Light frames were captured over two evenings: 18th December 2017 and 7th January 2018.  A total of 31x10-minute light frames (5hours 10 minutes) were used to create the image.

Camera TEC was set to -15C.

Image capture was with Sequence Generator Pro.

All image calibration, stacking and processing was carried out using PixInsight.
