Mercury is currently enjoying its best evening elongation in the northern sky and in the UK this has fortuitously coincided with a spell of brilliant weather. This shot is taken from the upstairs of our house with a bridge camera. We fortunately have a good SW horizon but are less lucky with elongations later in the spring.
