For the 4th year running Martin has been able to image all the planets (except Earth - no spacecraft available) from his back garden in St.Albans, UK, during the year.

All were imaged using a 444mm Dobsonian, except for Mercury and Venus, for which he used a 222mm Dobsonian.

Imaging dates were;

  • Mercury 25/8 IR
  • Venus 20/4 IR
  • Mars 20/1 RGB
  • Jupiter 3/7 RGB
  • Saturn 19/9 L(IR)RGB
  • Uranus 3/12 (IR) colourised for aesthetic reasons
  • Neptune 29/12 (IR) colourised for aesthetic reasons
