Object
M97
Observing location
St Austell, Cornwall UK
Equipment
235mm (9.25") Celestron EdgeHD
CGEM mount
Nightscape 10100 CCD OSC
Exposure
/f10 24x600seconds Optolong L-eNhance Filter

M97 was imaged using an Optolong L-eNhance filter during a full moon.  The L-eNhance filter transmits narrow band wavelengths for Ha, Hb and Oiii for use with a colour camera.  The filter was highly effective at blocking the moon glow.

The Nightscape 10100 CCD was used with 1x1 binning for 10-minute exposures with the scope at it native /f10.  The CCD has small 4.75micron square pixels.  This combination did not give adequate contrast of the stars in the image for routine star-alignment of the calibrated light frames.  I will try with 2x2 binning the next time I use the filter.
