Mars three ways

4x PowerMate
IR 642nm Pass filter + RGB filters
14inch f/10 LX200 ACF
EQ8 mount
This was my first use of a new set of RGB filters of better quality than my previous ones (although perfectly adequate) and also trying to use Winjupos more effectively so that I could derotate a Mars image in the same way I'd do for Jupiter. Luckily for me my existing IR pass filters turned out to be parfocal with the new LRGB set, saving difficulties in having to refocus between filters from different manufacturers. I didn't use my ADC for these images, partly as Mars was just around 30 degrees and partly to avoid increasing flexure with the weight of the 4x PowerMate in the image chain as well as my heavier seven-position filter wheel rather than the lightweight one I was previously using for planetary work.
