Change in Gyulbudaghian's nebula in just 6 days!  Since my last image on 21st October a new patch of nebulosity has developed to the north-east of PV Cephei.  Could this be the start of a revival or the last gasp of the nebula?  If you have suitable deep sky imaging equipment please give this nebula a go...who knows what it will do next?

An image from 8th October doesn't show anything in the location of the new patch of nebulosity.

Nick James has also been observing this nebula and reports that PV Cep has brightened back to mag 17.4, from a minimum of 18.6, and Nick may also have recorded the 'new' nebulosity a few days ago.

Location of nebula, RA 20h 46m Dec +67 58, field of view in image is 15 x 15 arc minutes with north up. Reproduced at 150% of original size.
