The Moon 26 days old, waning crescent, and Venus. When I went out at 05.50 I was clouded out, with little change by 06.20. But shortly after the skies cleared, giving about 25 minutes observing time before the sky brightened. Unfortunately, Mercury, about 10 degrees SE of Venus, remained obscured by cloud and nearby buildings.
