Mare Humorum

ZWO ASI120MM-S camera
Baader 610nm and IR-cut filters
This image is a mosaic of four separate images, one of each quadrant of Mare Humorum, as the image scale did not allow the entire mare to be captured in a single frame.
Each component image used 1500 of 3000 frames, stacked in Autostakkert!2, then sharpened and processed in Registax. The mosaic was assembled using IMerge, then cropped to a rectangle for display.
The low sun angle brings out the large number of rilles in the regions around the mare, including those near Hippalus and Ramsden at the lower right, and south of Mersenius on the left. The fractures on the floor of Gassendi are also clearly visible.
