About this image

Pete Lawrence has been accumulating a fascinating series of images of Venus as it approaches inferior conjunction.  He cautions that seeing is now a big factor because poor seeing can make the final image look thicker than decent seeing.  All the images are aligned with the north crescent horn up, but in reality all of the images have been captured at the correct orientation.
