About this image

A total of 69x600s light frames captured on 30th May 2021, 3rd June 2021,  4th June 2021, 20th June 2022 and 22nd June 2022.

The short UK summer nights forcing an extended project to collect 12-hours of total exposure of M27.

The image was processed with PixInsight to expose the faint outer Oiii regions of the planetary nebular without over exposing the bright central ‘apple core’ region.
