The Sun is extremely active at the present time with several Active Regions on the disk capable of producing solar flares. Observations should be sent as soon as possible to the Solar Section Director with details of date, time (UT) of start, peak and end of flare event, location and intensity.
Big Bear Solar Observatory activity warning is reproduced below:

Solar activity is high.
Regions NOAA 11165, 11166, and the region next to
11164 have all produced M-class flares.
All three regions are magnetically complex and
capable of M-class and possibly X-class events.
NOAA 11165, S20 W79 (X= 893,Y=-306). Beta-gamma-delta region. M-class flares
likely, X-class possible.
Unnumbered region near 11164, N23 W57 (X= 748,Y= 437). Beta-gamma-delta region. M-class
flares likely, X-class possible.
NOAA 11166, N11 E16 (X=-262,Y= 299). Beta-gamma-delta region. M-class flares
likely, X-class possible.
Positions as of March 7, 2011 at 18:00 UT.
