The theme is "Astronomy in the Industrial Age (1700-1900)"

Mike Leggett - Bryan Donkin FRS: Engineer, industrialist and astronomer
Kevin Kilburn - The forgotten star atlas: Bevis's Uranographia Britannica
Stuart Williams - William Henry Robinson: From Red Books to the Red Planet
and our keynote speaker:
Allan Chapman - James Nasmyth: Astronomer of Fire
Soho House was the home of Matthew Boulton, eighteenth-century industrialist
(he features on the fifty pound note) and meeting place of the Lunar Society,
whose members included James Watt, Erasmus Darwin, Joseph Priestley and
Josiah Wedgwood. The house is closed to the public until the summer, but we
are hoping to arrange a guided tour.
